Mark Steel Corporation

Safety

We have many, many reasons that safety is our number one priority.  You can see just a few of them above.  We never want the lives of our fellow employees altered by an accident or unhealthy conditions.  Our programs, practices, and awareness reflect our desire for each member of the Mark Steel family to go home at the end of each workday healthy.

Some companies say that safety is their number one priority because their people are their greatest resource.  We prefer to remember that each employee is a human being.  Our practices are also based upon the following principles:

  • All accidents are preventable.
  • Our employees are trained in the safe operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Awareness training is provided, keyed upon the potential risks posed by our activities.
  • Each one of us is responsible for the safety and well-being our each other, our contractors, and visitors.
  • Reporting and sharing near miss incidents is a key to improving safety.
  • Reporting accidents and near miss incidents is fundamental to improving safety of us all.
  • Reporting accidents and near miss incidents is fundamental to improving safety of us all.
  • All employees are empowered to stop any unsafe job or project.
  • All Employees go home safe.
